01 / Practical selection
Describe the product at operating temperature
Provide the puree concentration, viscosity test method and temperature at the proposed inlet. Describe remaining particles or fibres and whether the product changes during the production run.
If only a room-temperature viscosity is available, identify it as such. The useful equipment comparison is based on the condition the machine will actually see.
02 / Practical selection
Evaluate spreading, foam and discharge together
A viscous puree may need a different distribution approach from a clear juice. Gas release, foam expansion and residence in the vessel should be observed using the actual product where behaviour is uncertain.
The outlet pump must work with the vacuum-side suction condition and the pressure required downstream. Share pipe size, transfer distance and the next machine so the discharge boundary can be reviewed.
03 / Practical selection
Plan cleaning for the whole product path
Review vessel internals, product distribution, seals and low points along with the site cleaning cycle. Product retention in an inaccessible area can make a visually simple vessel difficult to clean.
Include the production schedule, recipe changeovers and available cleaning services in the enquiry. Cleaning suitability belongs in the agreed configuration, not in a generic material claim.
Common questions
Tomato puree questions
Can the unit handle concentrated tomato products?
Suitability depends on the actual product distribution, rheology, discharge and cleaning conditions. Send product data for review rather than relying on a universal viscosity limit.
Which outlet pump is required?
Pump selection follows the product and suction/discharge conditions. A sample, rheology data or a trial may be needed for an unfamiliar duty.
