Deaeration trial and configuration

Oxygen measurement points and method for a deaeration trial

Make inlet and outlet measurements comparable and distinguish dissolved oxygen from entrained air.

Start with the measurement boundary

Make inlet and outlet measurements comparable and distinguish dissolved oxygen from entrained air.

Locate the two product points

Identify the inlet before vacuum exposure and a closed outlet point after the discharge pump. Mark any buffer, leak opportunity or open sampling step between the machine and downstream acceptance point. Record whether the objective is dissolved oxygen, entrained air or a separate foam measure.

Protect the sample and measurement

Record instrument, sensor method, calibration/check, units, sample temperature and pressure. Use a documented method that limits oxygen pickup during sampling. Match batches and stabilized operating periods; an open cup may change the sample before measurement.

Retain the operating basis

Record flow, actual inlet temperature, vessel absolute pressure, level, distribution arrangement and outlet backpressure with each pair. Do not present an isolated oxygen percentage without the inlet value, units, method and sample point. The downloadable trial sheet is blank, not measured performance evidence.

Record your product and configuration

Download the blank configuration and trial data sheet. It contains no oxygen measurements, model ratings or completed case study.
